Featured Project: NHS Apprenticeships
We are very pleased to share with you the first glimpses of the work we’ve been undertaking recently for the NHS here in Northamptonshire. The team at the NHS , first approached us at the end of 2016 with a variety of design and print requirements to deliver a range of marketing collateral to support their campaign to recruit local apprentices.
After an initial meeting with the team it became clear there were a number of key ‘tent poles’ that we had to hang our designs onto.
- The team were keen to utilise a visualisation such as a mind map to try and demonstrate the breadth of opportunities available within the NHS and we all agreed that a mind map was a great way to bring that to life in a simple, easy to digest manner.
- We had to come up with something impactful and bold – that grabbed attention at events like jobs fairs where employers are fighting for attention in a sea of marketing material.
- We needed to create a brand that aligned neatly with the nationwide “Step into the NHS” campaign whilst retaining a uniquely “Northamptonshire feel”.
We have shared here the results of this work and we’re really excited with how its all turned out so far. To bring the mind map to life without having add a huge amount of text we utilised a series of icons to represent the various job types and responsibilities available to people within the NHS.
Moving forward these icons will be a great device to help translate the branding into specific pieces of marketing materials or online assets.
We will share more of this project as pieces of work continue to come back from the printers – once this phase of the project is complete, the next task is for us to adapt and update the materials to an internal audience who are already employed within the NHS.
